social listening: Lululemon

Image
For this social listening blog post, I choose Lululemon for my brand because I feel like it is a very popular brand that many people either love or hate and especially because of the price some may not like. I personally love this brand for leggings and haven't found another brand that compares. I looked on Twitter, LinkedIn, and tiktok to find out about the different things people were saying about this brand.  Lululemons value proposition is that they're a brand for people who want to live a healthy active lifestyle. Their whole brand is focused on activewear. By selling these clothes and people buying them it is almost like an incentive to "be active".  I found two negative things, including the problem with the price of the leggings, which isn't new because many people have complained about the price for years. The other negative comment/post I did find out was pretty interesting because this man had posted on tik tok about there being chemicals in the Lulule

Marketing in the News

By: Breona Daniels   My interest in Coca-Cola's latest global campaign came from my love of Coca-Cola (I can't help myself when it comes to a Coca-Cola) and their interest in using Gigi Hadid in their campaign and commercial. Gigi Hadid is a supermodel who is also viral on TikTok for her "Gigi Hadid pasta". I found that them using Gigi in a campaign was a great way to boost sales and their "Recipe for Magic" slogan.  The article explains how Coca-Cola uses "A recipe for magic" as a way to bring Coca-Cola to the dinner table as the secret ingredient to a magical dinner. In the commercial, it is Gigi Hadid and her friends who are also influencers come over to create a meal and eat it together with the magic in the Coca-Cola. The idea of having a drink at dinner is incorporating the idea that more people are having dinner at home especially in the last few years because of covid and many people have been behind a screen talking to each other and haven

Bre's first blog

Hi! My name is Breona Daniels, but most of my friends call me Bre, I mostly go by Breona when it comes to school just because I feel like giving teachers a different name to remember can be confusing. I am a sophomore dual-enrolled at Oregon State University and Linn-Benton Community College studying Business Management, I mostly attend classes at OSU but enjoy taking a class at Linn-Benton here and there. I am from Roseburg, OR, and Sutherlin, OR, I lived in both places due to my parents being divorced, but I enjoyed getting the choice of where to go to school. Getting the choice doesn't mean much down there because they're small towns. I played volleyball all throughout high school and growing up, but quit due to covid and I wanted to graduate early and was unable to play due to that reason. I choose to go to school in Corvallis because I liked the college town feel and didn't want to move to a big city at the time, I enjoy going to school here for the most part other th
